Art SynToMi
Turin and Milan Chambers of Commerce, together with local Public Administrations, in the ambit of the greater strategic collaboration agreements between the two cities, have charged our Association with the proposal and development of a collaboration and integration project concerning Contemporary Art. Such Project, thanks to the high-speed Turin-Milan railway, is going to single out, as a European alternative, a coherent Turin-Milam body of users where, although giving recognition to specific roles and autonomy, Turin has the task of being the laboratory of artistic creativity, and Milan carries out the international promotion of contemporary art. The first stage of the Art SynToMi Project includes the following activities:
- release of SynToMi, a small pocket Guide of private galleries and public and private exhibition institutions in Turin and Milan (Edited by a.titolo and Gabi Scardi, Pictures by Giulia Caira, Publisher: Teknemedia);
- annual organization of the ArteGiovane "Torino e Milano...Incontrano l'Arte" Award, dedicated to young Italian artists chosen by an International Jury, curators: a.titolo and Gabi Scardi;
- research and monitoring of the tourists-cultural visitors from businesses, conventions, fairs going to Turin and Milan public and private Museums, and of the investments on contemporary art by Public Administrations and Bank Foundations in Turin and Milan and their surroundings;
- agreement between Artegiovane and Viafarini/Care of for the international promotion of young artists and Contemporary Art Galleries, inclusion of the artists who work in Piedmont in Italian Area and Portfolio, granting on-line access to the international information point (scholarships, Awards, contests, workshops, etc.).
